WebDrive FAQ's

Where Will My Ads Appear?
Your ads will appear in the Sponsored Links section of Google. This is predominantly on the right hand side of Google and sometimes the top 1 to 3 listings on the left hand side of the search results page.

Why Have My Ads Stopped Showing?
The monies paid to us are broken down into an equal daily budget that is spent each time somebody does a search on Google and clicks on your ad. Once this budget is spent, your ads stop showing and will not show again until the next day. Conversely, if your budget is not spent in a day it is rolled over and added to the next day’s budget.
How Can I Get My Ads to Show For the Whole Day?
There are 2 main options here:

  1. Increase your budget to ensure that you get the best exposure. Please call us on 1300 657 362 to discuss the options open to you.
  2. Review the reports that we send you to ensure that your budget is being spent on relevant keywords. We develop the keywords that you provide us with to include other variations that are regularly searched on Google, these are added to your campaign and in some rare cases may not be exactly relevant to you. If this is the case please let us know via email or just give us a call.

Why Can’t I See My Ads?
Your ads may not be showing for any of the following reasons:

  1. Your daily budget has been fully spent, so you need to increase it. If you want to do this, please call us on 1300 657 362 to discuss the options open to you.
  2. Your ad is geographically targeted. Google identifies a computers location using IP (Internet Protocol), this can sometimes be wrong if your ISP uses a proxy server, which may prevent Google from identifying your location. If this is the case try doing your search on another computer.
  3. The keywords you are entering are not in your campaign. If you have eliminated all the other possible reasons, forward the keywords you have tried to us immediately, we will check if they are in your campaign and if they are not, add them and all permutations.
  4. Google rotates your ads with your competitors, if your budget is insufficient your ad will only be shown for the proportion of time that Google estimates is required to spend your daily budget. To gain more exposure you will need to increase your budget by calling us on 1300 657 362.

Will My Ad Always Be on the First Page of the Search Results?
Our aim is to get your ad on the first page, which we achieve regularly; however, it may also appear on page 2, 3 or 4 at times. Google is a very powerful product so there are other companies taking advantage of it. Under some searches there will be 3 or 4 pages of sponsored links, so it’s inevitable sometimes your ad will rotate through and will appear on these pages. We do need to make you aware your ad will not always be on page 1. It is not really about were your ad appears, the most important thing is how many people click on it. The good thing is this is all monitored and reported on. Once a month you will receive an official Google report that shows your best performing keywords and how many brand new people are coming into your website. So the whole campaign is fully transparent.

Why Can’t My Ad be No 1 All the Time?
We can get your ad to be No 1, however is this the best way to spend your budget?  The higher the position of your ad the higher the click cost. We will get the maximum amount of highly relevant clicks through to your website for the budget given. For example to be position No 1 may cost $3, yet position No 5 may cost $1.50, if you had a daily budget of $30 would you prefer to get 10 clicks or 20 clicks? We will work with you to ensure you are getting the most amount of clicks for your given budget, however the higher the budget we have to work with the more exposure we can achieve.

Can You Help Me Come Up With More Keywords?
Do not worry, your personal account manager will take the keywords that you have given and expand them to include all permutations possible. It is not unusual for campaigns to end up with 100’s of keywords ensuring that they capture all the relevant searches possible.
What Areas Will My Ads Show in?
We can target your ads so that they only appear in the areas that you want them to; we can target:

  1. Individual Countries, States, Cities or large towns or a combination of these
  2. A set kilometre radius from your location. Google does not recommend anything below a 16km radius
  3. Pinpointing four points on the map creating a quadrant  of the area you want to target

Do I get Updates on How My Campaign Is Performing?
Absolutely, every month we email you are report, direct from Google, detailing which of your keywords have been searched and which have been clicked on.
Can I Add, Change Or Delete Any of the Keywords?
Yes, we strongly encourage you to study the reports we send and let us know if there are keywords that are not performing, keywords that are not relevant to your industry or any other aspect of your campaign that you want to change. It is vitally important that we get your feedback as you know your business better than us!
What is a Keyword?
A keyword can be a single word on its own such as “shoes” or a combination of words such as “buy red shoes Sydney”. A better way to think of a keyword is as a key phrase.
